What is CryoFall?

CryoFall™ is an innovative Sci-Fi online survival game set on a forgotten planet in a distant future. CryoFall features ultra-high resolution 2D graphics with 3/4 view.

What are the system requirements?

System requirements (minimum):

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Dual Core 2.2 GHz or equivalent
  • Memory: 3GB RAM
  • Graphics: 1 GB GPU with DirectX 11 support
  • Display: 1280x720 resolution
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection (at least 0.5 Mbps)
  • Storage: 700MB
  • Input: keyboard & mouse

Does the game feature randomly generated worlds?

The main world in the game is carefully handcrafted by our designers, however anyone can add their own custom map to the game, including a randomly generated one with some effort.

What can be modded in the game?

Literally anything. The whole game itself is a mod for the engine written in C# and fully open source. Anything that already exists in the game can be added or removed. This makes total conversions entirely possible and easy to implement.

27 April 2019 With A21 "Survivors Update" we are introducing several major improvements to the game, the biggest of which being the new "Newbie protection" mechanic as was requested by a lot of players. Also—damage tracking, light and visibility system at night, deposit claiming and contesting mechanic, PvP balance adjustments, improved status effect tooltips, easily editable server rates, and many other important changes, improvements, and fixes.
